Complaints

If something has gone wrong, we would rather hear it early.

This page is a working draft and must be reviewed before the site goes live, including the named complaints handler, the firm’s timescales, and the current Legal Ombudsman time limits and contact details.

How to complain

Raise it first with the person handling your matter. If that does not resolve it, write to at Abbelys Solicitors, Suite 208, 82 King Street, Manchester, M2 4WQ, or email [email protected].

What happens next

  • We will acknowledge your complaint in writing
  • We will investigate and give you a full written response within the period set out in our engagement terms
  • If you remain unhappy, you may be able to take the matter to the Legal Ombudsman

Legal Ombudsman

If we cannot resolve your complaint, the Legal Ombudsman may be able to help. There are time limits for referring a complaint, which are set out on the Legal Ombudsman’s website at legalombudsman.org.uk.
